Hello Emily, I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed your videos on YouTube and was really happy to discover that you had a blog. I'm a lapsed guitarist, like a lapsed Catholic, I don't play much anymore, but when I see young and incredibly talented musicians like you I'm reminded of how much I miss working on blues riffs and dedicating my life to music. I never reached your level of artistry, but I wasn't half bad, back in the day. I just turned the big 70, and I'm semi retired. This is the stage in life when one starts questioning some his decisions, and I sometimes regret turning from playing music with a passion and choosing, instead, to immerse myself in the stodgy world of academia. Don't get me wrong, I still love English lit with a passion, but it doesn't light me up like listening to a guitar solo like Joe Walsh, Carlos Santana, or you. I wish you great success in your career and a happy and prosperous life. Rock on!
